Do I really think like Jesus?

In the book Think Like Jesus, George Barna indicates that after years of listening to sermons, attending classes, and participating in Bible study groups, he was not prepared to filter out trash and embrace only biblical wisdom. I'm curious to know how many individuals find themselves in a similar position today.

Well, for me it's a matter of consistency, dedication and will-power. If you want to get rid of something bad enough you will.At least for me that's true. I may be kidding myself but I expect to deal with junk as apart of my Christian walk and for the most part, always consider having junk to filter was what I had to deal with during my Walk. I don't think I am always prepared but I think I am always aware of the junk. I classify it (junk) as part of the things we fight with and have to constantly check and recheck because it can seep in our system like dregs and we don't notice the build-up until it becomes an issue or detrimental to our health

I think the goal is to be able to identify the junk before it does build up and become detrimental. The question is, how do we identify the junk?

What if what you learned is Junk?

That's a good question Shelly. I think that as we go through this class and engage in discussions we will be provided with a better filter which will enable us to identify junk.
